James Patrick Kirk is a 30something Detroit area fine artist, illustrator, fiction writer, and spoken word artist. He has designed album covers, theatrical and music festival posters, and his work has been featured in The Damned Exhibition in Detroit. His writing has been published by The Examined Life Journal in Iowa. James enjoys creating dynamic compositions using line, color, and texture, and has recently begun sculpting with metal and found objects. Having little formal training, he prefers the experimental approach when it comes to art-making, finding it to be the purest and most liberating form of self-expression.
Words from Jim:
"All pieces were drawn, painted, or sculpted by hand without use of digital aid. I'm not a Photoshop wizard, I'm a caveman artist."
